At first glance, Helga Sophia Goetze would actually be a normal 81-year-old grandma.
She embroider, paint, sing, write poems and is the mother of seven children.
But whoever meets Helga will be surprised.
She stood in front of the Gedächtniskirche in Berlin every day for over 20 years, painting and embroidering penises and vaginas in magnificent shapes and colors and organizing numerous campaigns to “educate” the population.
She wrote in over 2000 lustful-philosophical texts about the abuses of society and about her numerous sexual adventures, which she used to have even in old age with mostly much younger partners. Her meticulously worked, esoteric picture embroidery is up to two by two meters in size and filled with hundreds of painted pictures and folders, Helga's apartment in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
Initially provocative and almost repulsive and difficult to access for many, the film shows impressions of the director of Helgas Leben.
